03/13/13, The field is white...

As of now, we have a baptismal date for S.... April 13th. She is amazing, but is facing the most opposition any investigator of mine has faced. Her husband is very Catholic and is threatening to leave her if she is baptized. She wants to be baptized though. We are meeting with her husband on Saturday and are hoping that the Spirit will speak to him and soften his heart. We talked to S... about how all things are possible with God, and God can soften his heart. As we give him the opportunity to feel the Spirit, I know it is possible.

R... and his dad are planning on being baptized on May 25th, when their family will be coming to visit. We are excited for them.

A.... is still coming to church and looking forward to baptism, but hasn't chosen a day yet. He wants to know everything first. We haven't seen him for a week. He had a surgery last week, and he hasn't returned our phone calls. We are hoping he is safe and healthy.

We are working with five children. Two from the R...s family, and two from the C... family, and one from the C... family that are looking forward to baptism. Also the parents and older siblings from these families are remembering the covenants that they have made and attending church over again. We are so excited for the changes happening in the ward!

We received a new bishop this Sunday. Bishop Navarro and his family moved to Manhattan. Bishop Dixon was called on Sunday. He will do a great job. We are very excited.... We need to make cookies for that family. :)

Sister Cole is amazing. She is so prepared and willing to work. This last week, we taught more lessons than I have ever taught in one week. It was wonderful! President has asked that the new missionary does 75% of the work... I would guess that most missionaries are doing between 10-20%. Sister Cole is already doing about 45%-50%, and that number will just keep growing as she adjusts to missionary life and speaking Spanish. I'm really impressed with her.

Family, I love you. Keep going forward. :) Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Love,

Hermana Kin
